Yoga Warm-ups
Follow this guided video with our teacher Carly, who will take you through these simple and powerful warm-up exercises. We strongly recommend including these at the beginning of any yoga asana practice.
In order to get the most out of your yoga practice, we highly recommend starting with these warm-up exercises. Simple and effective, these warm-ups prepare the body, especially the spine and neck, increasing flexibility and alignment. The health of our spine determines and impacts our overall health, so even if you only take five minutes for yoga, these warm-ups are an excellent and worthwhile practice on their own.
To amplify the effects of the warm-ups and yoga asanas, we suggest keeping your eyes closed as much as possible during the practice. This will help you to interiorise, focus inward and let go of agitating distractions and stressors, making room for inner peace and serenity.
When new to these warm-up exercises, in rare cases, some may experience dizziness at the beginning. If this happens, just open your eyes and, if needed, sit down until you feel ready to continue with the practices.
Feel free to reach out to us if you have any questions.
Remember, whenever you’re in Hedo, you’re invited to join our morning yoga sessions, Monday-Friday on the Prude beach.
